Carrie Low Member at Large
Born and raised in Toronto, Carrie and her family have been a residents of Northumberland County for 14 years. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph and a law degree at Queen’s University, Carrie became an associate lawyer at Blakes in Toronto and then in-house legal counsel for Royal Bank of Canada for 17 years. In 2017 Carrie decided to move her law practice a little closer to home and joined Richard Irvine & Alison Lester (now Irvine Lester & Low) in their shared offices on Covert Street in Cobourg.
Carrie’s husband, Brian Porter, is an Acting Captain in the Toronto Fire Service, a role which took their family on a year long exchange to Adelaide, Australia in 2016. Together with their two daughters, Carrie and Brian are active members of the community, involved with La Jeunesse Youth Choirs, local fundraising events and Trinity United Church. Carrie is a former member of the La Jeunesse Board of Directors and C.R. Gummow Public School parent council.
