Wendy Ito Vice Chair
Wendy and her family, including her husband Mark and their two daughters, have resided in Cobourg all their lives. A graduate from CDCI East, Trent University, and Sir Sandford Fleming, Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, her Early Childhood Education Diploma and her Social Service Work Diploma. Wendy previously worked as the Program Co-ordinator for the Northumberland Family Resource Centre. Once her second daughter was born, Wendy made the decision to stay at home full time with her girls and this was when she became very involved in community volunteer work. Giving back to the community through volunteering is something Wendy strongly believes in. Over the years, Wendy has volunteered at her children’s schools, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Northumberland United Way, West Northumberland Wild Hockey Association, Northumberland’s Biggest Coffee Morning Event, and the Northumberland Hills Hospital Gala event. Wendy has been involved with the gala since its inception, and completed a two-year stint as Gala Co-chair of the event.
