First introduced in 1994, the annual Light Up a Life campaign has raised more than $2.9 million and funded a variety of equipment for NHH over the years – everything from surgical scopes, to anaesthetic machines, hospital beds, and the MRI.
This year, NHH Foundation is thrilled to welcome Dr. Mukesh Bhargava, Chief of Staff at NHH as our Light Up a Life Chair.
A strong hospital is the cornerstone of a strong community and there has perhaps been no year where this has been as clear as 2020.
“During recent times, I believe our team has expanded far beyond the walls of NHH to include our community, who has stepped up in more ways than I can count to offer support,” shares Dr. Bhargava. “The definition of our team has changed, and I hope this change is a permanent one as we continue standing side-by-side to ensure our community has the best care possible.”
Funds raised through this year’s Light Up a Life campaign will support our highest priorities. As a community hospital, NHH's role is critical in the lives of so many. Last fiscal year alone, our hospital had more than 4,330 admitted patients, and 33,755 visits to the Emergency Department. Continuous investment in healthcare equipment isn’t just nice to have – like the team using it, it’s essential.
