Annual Light up a Life Campaign – a testament to Northumberland’s compassion and generosity

The Light up a Life campaign, in support of Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation, has come to a close and organizers are pleased to announce their goal of $150,000 was reached! This achievement means four new ventilators will soon be purchased for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the NHH Emergency Department.

Funds were raised through community donations and participation in Light up Life campaign events.

“We are beyond happy with these results” states Rhonda Cunningham, Executive Director of (NHHF). “The generosity of our donors continues to inspire us every day.”

Special recognition and thanks goes out to Brian and Sharron Spry who, along with their customers and friends, raised an impressive $9,000 during the Spry Family Christmas Tree Event.

“Our partnership with the YMCA Northumberland through the annual Reindeer Run raised over $1,400 to be shared equally by our organizations and we are grateful to all those who participated in this annual event.”

Campaign chair, Angie Gammage, says “I want to thank everyone who made a donation, large or small. You are the reason we will soon have these new ventilators and I assure you they will help improve the care we provide to our patients.”

The Light up a Life campaign is in its 19th year, and has raised over $2.4 million.
