Celebrate Northumberland Hills Hospital’s 15th Anniversary next month with an open house and behind-the-scenes tour, October 18th

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Monday, September 24, 2018—In celebration of Northumberland Hills Hospital’s upcoming anniversary, staff, physicians and volunteers are inviting the public to an afternoon and evening of special behind-the-scenes tours.

Join members of the hospital team as they thank the community for the continued support, demonstrate the health care services available today at NHH and highlight services and supports expected to grow in the coming years as demand for patient care continues.

Hosted by hospital staff, physicians and Foundation and Auxiliary volunteers, guided tours will depart at 15-minute intervals from the Main Street Bistro on the main floor of the hospital, just inside the front entrance. The tours—each lasting approximately an hour in length—will visit as many areas of the hospital as possible, including:

Cancer and Supportive Care;
Diagnostic Imaging (including opportunities to see first-hand the Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Mammography and Fluoroscopy units);
Surgical Suites; and
Birthing Suites.

Before or after the tour, visitors will be encouraged to visit with NHH staff, physicians and volunteers in the Bistro while enjoying music, refreshments and photo displays highlighting today’s hospital services.

“We have so much to celebrate at 15 years,” said NHH President and CEO Linda. “This hospital brought many new health care services and supports to Northumberland County when it opened on October 22nd, 2003. NHH would not have been possible without the exceptional support and commitment of this community, and we’re looking forward to saying thanks, celebrating the successes and looking ahead to the future, together.”
