Family Christmas at Spry Christmas Tree Farm Returns

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – The Spry Family will once again be opening their Christmas Tree Farm to families and individuals to celebrate the holiday season and support a great cause. On Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10:00a.m. until 4:00p.m., the community is invited to purchase any size Christmas tree for $60 with all proceeds donated to Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation’s Light Up a Life campaign.

In addition to finding their perfect tree, attendees will also have the chance to enjoy a hot lunch, warm drinks, a bonfire, and delicious treats; and Santa himself will be onsite for souvenir family photos.

“We are so grateful to the Sprys for their continued support of our Light Up a Life campaign,” says Rhonda Cunningham, Executive Director of NHH Foundation. “Not only does this event offer families the chance to start and continue their own holiday traditions with a fun-filled day, but it has raised over $39,000 over the last four years – just incredible!”

Also supporting the event as sponsors are Cameco, Tim Hortons, and Craft Food House. This year’s Light Up a Life campaign aims to replace 17 hospital beds and has a goal of raising $170,000. If the goal is met, not only will the entire fleet of beds become a reality, but the purchase of other high priority equipment will also be possible.

The Spry Christmas Tree Farm is located at 8329 Danforth Road, just East of Burnham Street in Cobourg. For more information on this event or the Light Up a Life campaign, visit www.nhhfoundation.ca/events.
