NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – Tickets to Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation’s annual Wine & Ale in the Park have sold out, but organizers are pleased to offer an ‘at home’ version for those wishing to support this annual fundraiser. Between June 20 and July 4, community members can purchase a mixed case of six or 12 bottles of wine from Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery with a portion of proceeds donated to the Foundation.
“We first introduced an ‘at home’ version in 2020 as we were unable to host an in person gathering,” shares Wendy Ito, NHH Foundation Board Chair and Co-Chair of Wine & Ale Planning Committee. “The ‘at home’ initiative was well-received by our community and we didn’t want to lose sight of this popular option.”
Cases of either six or 12 bottles of wine can be purchased for $130 or $191.40 respectively through NHH Foundation’s website, here, between June 20 and July 4, with 20% of proceeds directed to the Foundation. Once orders have been placed, they will be available for pickup on Monday, July 11 from 1:00p.m.-4:00p.m. at Cobourg Lions Community Centre (157 Elgin Street East, Cobourg), where Foundation volunteers will be waiting to assist customers with loading cases into their vehicles. Options include:
Henry of Pelham Fundraiser 6 Pack for $130, which includes the following wines:
- Old Vines Baco Noir
- Fumé Sauvignon Blanc
- Rosé
- Gamay
- Cuvée Catharine Brut Sparkling Wine
- Speck Bros. Family Tree "The Bootlegger" Baco Noir
Henry of Pelham Fundraiser 12 Bottle Mixed Case for $191.40, which includes two bottles of each of the following wines:

For the past six years, Wine & Ale has been proudly presented by Tony Pulla, RE/MAX Lakeshore Realty Inc. The in-person portion of this fundraiser will take place under the Lions Club of Cobourg's tent in Victoria Park on the evening of Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Guests will experience pairing stations tastefully put together to feature delicious local cuisines and a variety of wines and ales from Northumberland area vendors.
“The community’s response to the return of Wine & Ale in the Park was outstanding, with tickets selling out in under 24 hours,” says Sandra MacCoubrey, Co-Chair of Wine & Ale Planning Committee. “We hope the response for this ‘at home’ version will be equally enthusiastic. Whether you’re attending Wine & Ale in the Park or not, this is an opportunity to get ready for the summer season by purchasing a nice selection of wines and supporting our hospital at the same time.”
The ‘at Home’ version of Wine & Ale has also been made possible thanks to the efforts and support of Jay Knuth, Territory Manager at FWM Wine, Beer & Spirits.
