Northumberland Residents Encouraged to Love Their Homes with Local Raffle

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – The year 2020 will be remembered for a lot of reasons, one of which is the way societal trends have centered around the home. From baking bread to DIY tasks, the popularity of at-home projects has taken off as many people follow public health advice and spend more time in their households. Building on this trend, Home Hardware Building Centres in Cobourg, Port Hope, and Newcastle are encouraging Northumberland residents to not only stay at home, but to love their homes by sponsoring the “Love Your Home” Raffle in support of Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation’s CARING. Close to Home Gala.

Tickets for the “Love Your Home” Raffle are priced at $50 each or $125 for three and one lucky participant will win a $5,000 gift card to Home Hardware to spend however they choose.

“The Cobourg, Port Hope, and Newcastle Home Hardware stores have been incredible supporters of Northumberland Hills Hospital in the past, and with this year’s Gala really focused on the ‘at home’ theme, their support of this raffle could not come at a better time,” shares Natasha Jacobs, Special Events Officer for NHH Foundation.

“We’re proud to be presenting the ‘Love Your Home’ Raffle in support of NHH Foundation,” says Brad O’Neill, Co-Owner of Home Hardware Building Centres in Cobourg, Port Hope, and Newcastle. “The concept of helping others is a core value within the Home Hardware family and we want to do our part to help our community by ensuring NHH is well equipped to care for our customers, teams, friends, families, and neighbours.”

Tickets to enter the “Love Your Home” Raffle can be purchased through the Foundation’s website at www.nhhfoundation.ca/events/gala-2020, where more information on this year’s CARING. Close to Home Gala can also be found. For the 2020 Gala, community members are invited to participate from the comfort of their own homes on November 28, 2020 by ordering a Celebration Package by November 7, 2020, which includes delectable treats, a hand-crafted charcuterie board, a luxurious bottle of wine, and more.
