Supporting Equipment

In every industry, keeping pace with advances in equipment and technology is critical to success. In healthcare, these investments are not only crucial – they can also save lives.

Many people do not know...

Although hospital operating funds come from Ontario’s Ministry of Health, communities are responsible for funding capital equipment. This is where you come in.

Community donations help us to continuously invest in medical equipment and technology at Northumberland Hills Hospital – they ensure that when a surgeon reaches for a surgical scope, a nurse connects a patient to an IV pump, a technologist performs a CT scan after a trauma, a lab tech uses the centrifuge to separate cells for an exam, and so many more daily moments of care, the equipment they need is available at their fingertips.

While it takes a compassionate and skilled medical team to directly provide care, it takes a dedicated and generous community to ensure the equipment needed to do so is available not if, but when it is needed.

Having a strong hospital doesn’t just happen. With continuous investment, we can enhance and expand the care provided, support the attraction and retention of talented clinical expertise, improve the quality of life of our patients and the community, and ultimately save more lives.
