Volunteering with NHH Foundation is a wonderful way to give back to our community while getting to know other like-minded individuals.

Volunteers help raise critical funds to provide the best healthcare experience possible for west Northumberland patients, and many learn new skills and develop new friendships along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive training?

Yes. All volunteers will be required to attend a training or orientation session to help better understand the mission of NHH Foundation and your role on our team.

What types of volunteer opportunities currently exist?

Volunteers serve in a multitude of ways including Board and committee leadership and special event fundraising.

Will I be required to provide references?

In some roles you may be required to provide personal references and/or a police verification check.

Is there a dress code in place for volunteers?

Depending on the nature of the volunteer role, there may be special consideration for proper dress. This will be communicated in advance of your volunteer assignment.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
For years, community support has helped bring vital breast health technology and resources to NHH. This October, we’re raising funds to modernize our breast health program with a new 3D mammography, advanced ultrasound, bone density scanning, and wire-free localization technology. Together, we can bring the benefits of new technology to those who depend on our hospital, while supporting earlier detection and improved comfort for patients like Summer.
