NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation is celebrating a generous $25,000 gift from Nuclear Laboratory Partners of Canada Inc. (NLPC), the new parent company of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL). NLPC’s gift demonstrates their commitment to supporting a community in which its subsidiary has long operated, executing the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI).
“We’re excited to have new partners in NLPC,” shares Rhonda Cunningham, NHH Foundation CEO. “This early gift shows NLPC’s interest and action in supporting and recognizing the important role our hospital plays in the lives of so many in our community.”
NLPC prioritizes community engagement wherever it operates and has chosen to support NHH because of the hospital’s wide-reaching impact on the lives of local residents.
“We strongly believe that being a responsible corporate citizen means investing in the wellbeing of the communities where we live and work,” says Dennis Carr, President and CEO of CNL, representing NLPC. “We are proud to support the NHH Foundation and hope this contribution helps ensure that high-quality care remains accessible to everyone in Northumberland County.”
Almost every piece of equipment that touches a patient, that is instrumental in saving and caring for lives, is funded by community support. The gift from NLPC will help NHH Foundation meet its mission to make care better for those in west Northumberland. Commitments like this from community partners play a vital role in sustaining the strength of our local hospital and ensuring it can continue to meet the evolving needs of the community.
